Very brief time spent in the two locations; Gruene is quite fictional but it's beautiful in being stopped in at least some 50 years ago. San Antonio has a very nice walk on the canal.. ok, the Venice of Texas?

Carlsbad Caverns NP Pictures
Who doesn't like spelunking? Carlsbad Caverns is massive and beautiful. Sadly light in the caverns is not the easiest task for my camera (which is also my phone).

El Paso Pictures
El Paso is a nice city. In some moments you notice to be in Texas, at the same time vast majority of people will speak to you in Spanish and all the New Mexico stuff to bay (like Natives classical touristy gifts) is still there.
Images below are from the Museum of Art, which is in fact quite enjoyable.

White Sands National Monument Pictures
This has been one of the most magical stop during my trip. White Sands is like a desert made of gypsum and the reflection of light on the white surface is incredible. Similarly it's incredible to feel the soft dust going everywhere around be so different from sands.

Phoenix Botanical Garden Pictures
Ciao,
my time in Phoenix was super short in fact, I had just the time to have dinner and the day after go to the Desert Botanical Garden before leaving. Therefore I will just upload a few pics to remember my time there

It really looked like the desert!

Sedona Pictures
Sedona was a beautiful discover. There was no mention of it in my guide. In fact even if it's a little "too perfect" and definitely home to some rich, white, posh, old/family tourism, it is a nice jewel.
I am not the type of person to like such remarks but random shop's owner told me: "god created Grand Canyon, but he settled down in Sedona". Well, that's what he said.
I will only add that I think I visited just 2 or 3 churches in USA and the one is Sedona was definitely worth. Great idea to construct such a building on the mountain!
Enjoy the pictures

Tuba City, Navayo Indian Reservation Pictures
Travelling through an Indian Reservation was ambivalent. As you can see in the pics the landscape is beautiful and the land from one side looks endless. But round the corner (3rd pics) are the slums where people live.
Places with a raped past, a desolate present and a struggling future, as events in North Dakota are showing just in these days.

Grand Canyon Pictures
Ciao all, the haphazard editing through the thousands of picture I took this summer continue. Grand Canyon shares with the other National Parks the stunning beauty. Watching these images (in fact for the first time after my travel) is always stunning. Were I really there?! Did I manage to do/see all of it?
It's just a beautiful country. If you manage to preserve it this way.

After Election - post from Facebook
Dear Friends, I don't know who is still accessing this blog and if people who look here are also my friends on Facebook. Today after I found out the results of presidential election I posted this short piece on my page.
I love USA. I found there education, work and more importantly friends and love. There has been a time when I wanted to become a citizen and possibly even move there for good, I hit 25 States and I have tried in every way to understand and "be" an American.
Today I cannot say I am entirely shocked by this election results. Although Democracy is sometimes hard to digest, it's the best system and in any case give you the best snapshot of what's in "people's mind".
I have witnessed the hate, anger, paranoid fear on which this presidential campaign has been thriving, at every level (interpersonal, workplace, life, internal politics, international vision). And I have also seen other "Trump's traits" like prejudice, racism, sexism, segregation, judgment, self righteousness, narcissism also at every level and surprisingly in every direction.
I think USA should stop and consider what feelings its population has been breeding and each one of us should ponder how WE made it possible, because we possibly had same processes going on unnoticed in ourselves.
Today is a bad day for me and my values. And this also implies that I have to do more for nurture them. At every level.

It's our darkest hour, may the Force be with all of us
Zion National Park Pictures
ciao,
I keep posting pictures of some of the best landscapes I have ever seen in my life.
Here is Zion NP! but very, incredibly sadly I have lost my pics from The Narrows when my external HD suddenly died a couple of months ago..
Here the pics, given it was so beautiful I had to post more than the usual number!
